Decisions of Desire

I looked out at the beautiful view
Mountains touching the sky
And flowers bloom
Why do I decide
Which holds more beauty?
A rocky peak,
or pretty petals?
Is it not like comparing citrus and pomme?
A heavy metal song
or a delicate poem?
Do I crave sweet or salty?
Both or none?
Figuring out is part of the fun.
Taste all I can, lick with my tongue,
Hopefully, I'll know by the time I'm done.
Left with more questions than answers
Still can't bet on the boxer or dancer.
Maybe my landscape requires it all?
The mountains, the flowers,
the freezing river, the burning fire,
the breeze, the trees, the rustling leaves
That's what I need.
In love with everything and every possibility.
I'll avoid a label If I am able
Even if I favour one over the other
That doesn't mean I don't like either
